This Privacy Policy explains how GASP! collects, uses and protects your data when you use the site and the mobile app.
Data we collect
When you use the app or the site we may collect account data, approximate location (for local content), device information and usage analytics. If you contact us, we process the data you send us.
If you use the app without signing up
Opening the app creates a technical identifier tied to that installation, before and independently of signing up: it lets us show you what is happening in your area, which is why you opened the app. The areas you have passed through and the GASP! you have made stay attached to that identifier. We do not delete it automatically, so if you sign up later you do not lose what you have already done. You can delete it whenever you want from the app's settings, under “Delete my data”, even without an account.
How we use data
We use data to run the service, improve the product, keep it secure and tell you about important updates. We do not sell your personal data.
Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion by writing to hello@gasp.chat. We keep data only for as long as we need it. If you use the app without an account, you delete your data from the settings directly: with no email on file we could not identify you by mail.
Advertising
GASP! shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising identifier and your approximate location to select and measure them. On iOS we ask your permission first: if you say no you can keep using the app and you will still see ads, just not personalized ones.
